At least once a year I take Julio to RDG woodwinds in Los Angeles to see repairman extraordinaire Tom Yaeh. He is fantastic at what he does and a terrific person.
I imagine it’s a spa like experience for my bassoon. They keys get oiled, pads replaced and overall is gets spruced up. Many times I’ll make a list of specific items I want addressed while I’m visiting Tom, but in this case I had no specific concerns for Tom.

It’s important to have your instrument worked on every year. I’m grateful to have such a fantastic repairman so close as many people ship their instruments to Tom from all over the country.
